Job Description

Job Title: Vice President Service Line

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned RCM service lines in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to expand service offerings, improve client value, and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with sales, client success, and product teams to support new business development and service innovation.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across one or more RCM verticals (e.g., coding, billing, AR follow-up, payer relations).
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Days in AR, Denial Rate, Clean Claim Rate, and Cash Collections.
  • Implement process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma preferred).

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs), quality metrics, and client satisfaction scores are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic accounts and resolve escalated client issues as needed.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives for assigned service lines.
  • Monitor profitability, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support pricing models, ROI analyses, and business case development for new initiatives.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of AVPs, directors, managers, and support staff.
  • Foster a results-driven, accountable, and collaborative work culture.
  • Align talent development efforts with business goals, including succession planning and workforce optimization.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidelines) and client contract terms.
  • Partner with compliance and QA teams to address audit findings and implement corrective action plans.
  • Promote data security and compliance best practices across all teams.

Qualifications:

  • Any bachelors degree in business or related field
  • 18+ years of progressive leadership experience in the RCM or healthcare BPO industry
  • Deep understanding of RCM functions including front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end operations
  • Proven track record of managing large teams across multiple service lines or client portfolios
  • Experience with RCM technologies (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth, or proprietary RCM platforms)
  • Strong financial acumen and operational analytics capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and client-facing communication skills

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience managing global delivery teams or offshore operations
  • Familiarity with automation, AI/ML, and analytics in RCM workflows
