About Our Client

• Origination and Deal Execution
• Drive origination efforts by cultivating relationships with founders, VCs, and ecosystem partners.
• Evaluate new deal opportunities, lead investment committee presentations, and structure venture debt transactions across diverse sectors.
• Negotiate terms, documentation, and covenants to optimize risk-return for the fund.2. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Strategy
• Oversee portfolio monitoring processes, ensuring accurate tracking of financial covenants, milestones, and early-warning signals.
• Develop and implement frameworks for proactive risk management and value creation within the portfolio.
• Provide strategic recommendations on restructuring, follow-on investments, or exits.
• Strategically syndicate transactions to co-investors, private credit funds, and institutional stakeholders.
• Actively present investment opportunities and maintain relationships with syndicate participants.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify syndication and co-investment opportunities.3. Fundraising and Investor Relations
• Partner with senior leadership to support capital raising from institutional LPs, family offices, and UHNW investors.
• Prepare and deliver compelling investment materials, fundraising decks, and portfolio updates.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective investors, providing data-driven insights into fund performance and market dynamics.4. Strategic Leadership
• Collaborate with Managing Partners to refine the fund's origination and monitoring strategy.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performance investment culture.
• Position the platform as a thought leader in the venture debt ecosystem by engaging with media, panels, and industry forums.
  

The Successful Applicant

• 10-14 years' experience in venture debt, structured credit in banks and NBFCs, VC, or investment banking
• Proven origination track record - must have sourced and closed deals personally with well-established connects in the startup ecosystem
• Strong communication skills: articulate in presentations, IC notes, and investor discussions
• Experience of leading and mentoring a team
• MBA or CA ranker / CFA preferred.
