Summary of the Role: Candidate having strong domain knowledge of Electric Vehicle Mechanical Component Design and Development. EV aggregates overall knowledge is preferred. Experience in Vehicle Integration, Chassis Design, Vehicle prototype development, Vehicle Commissioning, vehicle testing and validation. Details of the Job : Complete ownership of DMU & EV Integration coordination with, EV subgroups e.g. Wire harness, Cooling system, Electronics, Battery, VCU etc. Vehicle groups such as Vehicle design, Body, Electricals, transmission, Purchase, testing and homologation, Production Engineering, Service etc. EV development partners. EV aggregates packaging finalisation in support with Vehicle Integration team & EV subgroups. EV DMU management & DMU Sign Off. DFM/DFA/DFS. EV aggregates BOM finalisation, Weight Compilation, CG Compilation. Battery & Traction cooling lines, HV & LV Wiring Harness routing finalisation. Sheet metal, Casting, Forging bracket design & development. Complete ownership for prototype vehicle build Proto type design release for EV related parts, brackets etc,Build issue resolution. Design Release of EV aggregates Layout. Vehicle Design & Development tracking through EBOM/Part list Production Engineering issues resolution. Vehicle level DVP/DFMEA,Awareness of product development cycle, gate review system. Hands on experience in CAD design with CATIA software,Hands on experience of PLM.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables a) Gasoline engine Optimization involving activities like, steady state performance and emission developement, including but not limited to combustion system, injection system, exhaust after-treatment system. b) Gasoline vehicle calibration involving, vehicle emission developement, vehicle calibration, drivability, environmental corrections, cold start and OBD c) Emission & Performance Robustness and homologation trials for engines type approval. d) Develop competency on methologies and tools calibration development e) Laise with EMS supplier and other key system suppliers for system selection and optimization. f) Laise with CFT like Vehicle Integration, NVH, Electricals, Performance simulation, Engine development centre, Reliability and Service for engineering targets delivery. g) Plan for the day-today calibration activities and maintain a project tracker. h) Collect & collate benchmark data. i) Analyse the issues arising out of test to confirm the design by root cause analysis of the problems / issues by using various problem solving techniques like Global 8D or other problem solving tools. Skills critical for the role: 1. Basic understanding of engine architecture 2. Basic understanding of combustion system and emission control. Effects of combustion hardware on performance and emission. 3. Knowledge of calibration softwares -INCA and other data acquisition tools. 4. Basic coding skills in Matlab and /or Phython 5. Knowledge of vehicle sub systems which affect vehicle performance parameters 6. Knowledge of steady state engine development on engine bench 7. Knowledge of EMS system component selection and evaluation methods 8. Knowledge of vehicle calibration, comfort functions, drivability, IOBD etc 9. Understanding of Intake, exhaust, cooling and fuel system interfaces on engine performance and emissions. 10. Failure analysis, root cause analysis 11. Awareness of emission cycles, test procedures, various norms and regulation Experience 4 to 6 Years Industry Preferred Automobile Qualifications B. E. /B. Tech/M. E/M. Tech General Requirements
