Used Car Manager

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the used car department with the goal of maximizing sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This includes managing inventory by purchasing, pricing, and appraising trade-ins and used vehicles to ensure competitive market pricing and quick turnaround times. You will also monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of used vehicles through auctions, wholesalers, and trade-ins. Collaboration with the sales team is crucial in developing and executing sales strategies and promotional plans. It will be your duty to ensure that all used vehicles are reconditioned and prepared for sale promptly. Additionally, tracking and analyzing performance metrics such as sales volume, gross profit, and inventory turn will be part of your responsibilities. You will need to develop and implement effective marketing strategies for both online and offline used vehicle promotions. Coaching and motivating the sales staff to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service will also be a key aspect of your role. Maintaining strong relationships with lenders and finance institutions to facilitate financing options for customers is essential. Compliance with company policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations in all used car sales is mandatory.
