US Payroll Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated US Payroll Specialist with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end US payroll processing, taxation, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience managing payroll either in-house or in a client-service (outsourced) environment and possess strong analytical and Excel skills.

Role & responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end US payroll processing including data validation, payroll run, review, and post-payroll activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Manage multi-state payrolls, employee deductions, and benefits such as 401(k), FSA, and medical plans.
• Maintain accuracy in employee records, earnings, and deductions in the payroll system.
• Support in audit and compliance reviews, providing necessary payroll data and reports.
• Prepare and maintain payroll-related MIS and Excel reports (e.g., reconciliations, variance analysis).

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of US payroll, taxes, and compliance regulations.
• Hands-on experience with US payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Ceridian, UltiPro, Dayforce, or similar).
• Excellent proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis).
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling employee data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
