US Benefits Senior Associate

As a US Benefits Sr Associate at Amgen, you will play a critical role in managing and administering U.S.-based health and welfare programs. Your responsibilities will include: - Administering US health and welfare benefit plans, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and flexible spending accounts, ensuring accurate operations and compliance with regulations like ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA. - Processing benefit transactions accurately in alignment with plan rules and timelines. - Maintaining plan documents, SPDs, compliance filings, and internal records. - Serving as the primary contact for benefits vendors and third-party administrators, resolving day-to-day issues, monitoring service delivery, and tracking resolutions. - Responding to and resolving escalated employee benefits inquiries, assisting with enrollment, claims, eligibility, and plan understanding. - Maintaining accurate benefits data in HR systems, preparing and distributing routine benefits reports, and ad-hoc data requests. - Assisting in coordinating and executing the annual open enrollment process, supporting benefits-related file feeds, testing, and updates, and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve benefit processes. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in benefit administration, with a focus on US benefit administration. - In-depth knowledge of U.S. benefit programs and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and related regulations. - Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with U.S. employees and managers remotely across different time zones. - Experience with Workday, third party benefit administrator systems, and ServiceNow is preferred.
