Job Description Tele-Sales Relationship Manager (Motor Insurance)

Position:

Role Summary

The Tele-Sales Relationship Manager will be responsible for generating motor insurance sales through outbound calls, cross-selling and upselling to existing customers, handling queries, and maintaining long-term customer relationships. The role requires strong communication skills, sales orientation, and customer-centricity.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers for motor insurance sales.
  • Promote renewals and cross-sell other general insurance products.
  • Achieve assigned monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong rapport with customers to improve loyalty and retention.
  • Handle customer queries related to policy features, premium, claim process, etc.
  • Provide accurate product information and assist in policy issuance/renewal.

Lead Management

  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, references, and databases.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups to maximize conversion ratio.
  • Maintain records of interactions and update CRM systems.

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company guidelines in all tele calling activities.
  • Maintain call quality standards and compliance scripts.
  • Submit daily/weekly reports on calls made, conversions, and revenue achieved.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Number of calls made per day/week.
  • Conversion ratio (leads sales).
  • Premium collected and policy issuance.
  • Renewal ratio and customer retention.
  • Customer satisfaction score (quality audits/feedback).

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education:

    Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
  • Experience:

    1–4 years in tele-sales / inside sales (motor/general insurance or BFSI experience preferred).
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal communication and persuasion skills.
    • Sales-driven and target-oriented.
    • Good listening and problem-solving ability.
    • Customer-centric mindset.
    • Basic computer & CRM knowledge.
