His duties involve managing meetings and records and
acting as a key link between the management, members and the public overseeing
administration.
Core administrative and compliance responsibilities:
1. Legal and regulatory compliance: Ensuring that the institution complies with
all legal and statutory obligations, under the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies
Act, 1960 and Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Rules, 1961 thereunder.
Should be well versed with The Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960
and Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Rules, 1961 thereunder.
2. Coordination and implementation of election of the Board of Directors as per
The Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 and rules thereunder.
3. Administrative control: Overseeing the day-to-day management of the office,
which includes correspondence, maintaining records, and supervising
subordinate staff for due reporting to the Managing Director.
4. Documentation and reporting: Preparing and submitting required statements,
returns, audited reports etc. to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies and other
relevant authorities.
5. Record keeping: Functioning as the custodian of the organization's records,
including governing documents, bye-laws and meeting proceedings, financial
reports, election records etc. including rules and regulations regarding conduct
and disciplines of employees and of Sakhar Sangh.
6. Financial management oversight: Ensuring the proper maintenance of
accounts and financial transaction records and providing oversight on financial
affairs if any.
7. Timely scheduling meetings of Board of Directors, Executive Committee and
Annual General Body including Special Extra Ordinary General Body meetings
as required if any as per the byelaws of the Institution and The Maharashtra
Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 and rules thereunder as well as other meetings
for business policy, rapport and relationship management with sugar mills /
institutions etc.
8. Completing all procedural requirements, compliance, records of various
meetings such as, notices, agendas, minutes, ATRS’ etc.
9. Any other official works as the Board of Directors, Executive Committee
members and Managing Director may direct from time to time.
10. Post-meeting actions: Ensuring that the decisions made in meetings are
communicated and implemented by the management and staff.
Communication and liaison:

Advisory and strategic functions:
legal, administrative, and policy matters.
