Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

The HR Operations role is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of all HR processes, policies, and systems across the employee lifecycle. This includes employee onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, HR compliance, HRIS management, and support for performance and engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and exit processes, ensuring smooth joining and relieving experience.
  • Background verification
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems (HRIS) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Manage probation confirmations, transfers, promotions, and contract renewals.

2. HR Operations

  • Liaise with the payroll team/vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Administer employee benefits, insurance, and statutory compliances (PF, ESI, Gratuity, LWF, etc.).

3. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Ensure HR processes align with company policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
  • Prepare periodic HR compliance reports for management and auditors.

4. HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy.
  • Generate HR metrics and MIS reports for decision-making
  • Support automation initiatives in HR processes.

5. Employee Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree (BBA, B. Com, or similar) or MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
  • 25 years of HR operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
