What awaits you/ Job Profile
The Unit Head is responsible for the success of delivery for
Data
Platforms & Services Unit
within the BTI s IT & Data Cluster organization. Responsibilities encompass orchestrating and managing teams, demonstrating leadership, monitoring KPIs, and people management.
- Lead feature teams (size 30 to 80) for Data Platforms, Data Engineering, Data Analytics and Data Visualization and ensure work is delivered on time and meets quality expectations
- Work closely with management - Cluster Heads, CTO, COO etc., to meet organizational objectives
- Manage projects & teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions that align with business goals - from initiation to completion, including scope, schedule, budget and capacity.
- Align with Product Owners, Sub-Product Owners, and key stakeholders from BMW Group on product goals and team matters.
- Maintain direct communication with BMW Group to ensure transparency on deliverables and expectations.
- Responsible for hiring, retention, and talent development to align with company goals.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Responsible for performance assessment, performance improvement and career paths of team members.
- Identify and implement innovative processes to improve results.
- Maintain expertise in key technology areas for effective decision-making.
- Disseminate and develop the organization s culture and values within the feature teams.
- Foster a company culture of excellence, trust, transparency, collaboration & ownership,
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Promote team interactions that enable individual and team autonomy, self-organization, and growth.

What should you bring along
- 12 - 20 years of experience in the Technology Industry with at least 8 years in project deliveries, product developement and people management roles.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in building and managing feature teams for Cloud, Data or AI solutions.
- Strong communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in IT / Business Stakeholder management.
- Customer centric and people centric approach to delivery excellence.
- Knowledge and experience in Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
- Knowledge and experience in IT Operations.
- Exposure to E2E platform development.
- Exposure to Cloud platforms - AWS/Azure and Data Engineering & Analytics.

- Certification(s) in technical fields.
- Certification in Agile or Project Management
- Experience in working with international & cross functional teams through both conventional onsite participation and virtual events.
- Experience in creating and conducting workshops and team events.
- Operations Support Experience, ITIL Certification
- Presentation skills (for senior management / stakeholders)
- Data analysis and reporting tools and techniques
