Job Description

We are hiring for a UI/UX Designer for the insurance products and other ad-hoc application development within its services team.

The incumbent is expected to be primary responsible for handling the design requirements of the application. A flair for UI/UX design with a basic understanding of commercial insurance domain is expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and examine the needs of the business stakeholders.
  • Consult engineers and product designers regarding the product and its functionalities.
  • Plan and develop new visual designs for browsers, android, and iOS applications.
  • Use sitemaps, process flowcharts, and storyboards for illustration and depiction of designs.
  • Design user interfaces elements mainly menus, widgets, tabs, etc.
  • Illustrate the functions of the web applications and develop UI mockups and prototypes.
  • Create tables, sketches, filters, images, and other websites/applications graphic designs.
  • Present designs to the development team and all the stakeholders.
  • Review and edit the mockups according to the business owner's feedback.
  • Follow the clients' instructions concerning style, colour schemes, and fonts, etc.


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or graphics designing
  • 2-3 years' experience on mobile app design and web application wireframing and designing
  • Familiarity with design tools and technologies (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to outline the structure, layout, and flow of the user interface. This helps visualize the product and gather feedback early in the design process.
  • Developing the visual aesthetics of the product, including selecting colour schemes, typography, icons, and other graphical elements. This involves creating a visually appealing and cohesive design that aligns with the brand identity.
  • Conducting user research to understand the target audience, their needs, and behaviours. This may involve interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Organizing and structuring the information and content within the product to facilitate easy navigation and findability. This includes creating sitemaps, user flows, and defining the overall hierarchy of the user interface.
  • Defining how users interact with the product by designing intuitive and engaging user interactions, transitions, animations, and micro-interactions. This involves creating a seamless and responsive experience across different devices and platforms.
  • Conducting usability tests and gathering feedback to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of the product's interface. This helps identify areas for improvement and refine the design based on user feedback.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure the design is implemented effectively and meets the project requirements. Collaboration may involve providing design assets, documentation, and guidance throughout the development process.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to continually improve design practices and deliver innovative user experiences.
