The job description of a Workday Finance Module Manager for implementation involves leading the implementation and configuration of the Workday Finance - P2P, R2R, C2C, Integration Module
As a Workday Finance Module Manager for implementation, your responsibilities may include:
Project Planning: Developing a comprehensive implementation plan for the Workday finance module, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements
Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with procurement stakeholders to understand their business requirements, translating them into system configurations, and documenting functional specifications
System Configuration: Leading the configuration and customization of the Workday finance module to meet the organizations specific procurement processes and requirements
This includes FDM, financial and accounting structures wrt procurement, procurement rules, and reporting hierarchies
Data Migration: Overseeing the migration of procurement data from legacy systems to Workday, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during the transition
Integration Management: Coordinating the integration of Workday finance module with other systems, such as payroll, procurement, and billing systems, to ensure seamless data flow and process integration
Testing and Quality Assurance: Developing and executing test plans to validate the accuracy and functionality of the Workday finance module implementation, resolving issues and defects, and ensuring a smooth transition to production
Change Management: Collaborating with stakeholders to manage organizational change and user adoption of the Workday finance module, including developing training materials, conducting user training sessions, and providing ongoing support
Stakeholder Management: Engaging with procurement teams, project sponsors, and executives to ensure alignment of the implementation with strategic objectives, managing expectations, and providing regular updates on project progress
Post-Implementation Support: Providing post-implementation support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing system-related issues, and working with Workday support or consultants to resolve technical problems
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for system enhancements, process improvements, and optimization of the Workday finance module, collaborating with stakeholders to implement changes and drive efficiency
Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and user guides to support ongoing system maintenance and future enhancements
As a Workday Finance Module Manager for implementation, you will play a critical role in leading the successful implementation of the Workday finance module, ensuring that it meets the organizations financial requirements, supports effective financial operations, and contributes to the overall business objectives
Must have managed 4 or more Large Enterprise End to End Workday Financials Implementations, demonstrating hands-on design/solutioning, configuration and testing experience in as procurement module and Integration with other Application) areas:
Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Procurement, Expenses and Inventory
Experience of global / multi-country deployments with localization requirements
Be able to identify strategies, alternatives, approaches, risks, and mitigations to meet requirements, as well as assist in testing and resolving issues
Experience of developing methodology and continuous improvements in delivery
Experience of assisting in pre-sales activities and ability to accurately estimate scope, effort and resources required to complete projects
Experience in Financial accounting and procurement roles
Experience in any other Workday Financials areas: FDM, Customer Accounts/Contracts, Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Procurement, Expenses and Inventory
4 or more Large Enterprise End to End experience in other Workday

Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate/CA with min 9 years of development experience in which at least 7 years should be Implementation experience

Must have managed 4 or more Large Enterprise End to End Workday Financials Implementations, demonstrating hands-on design/solutioning, configuration and testing experience

Location and way of working

Base location: PAN India
This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work
