Travel Consultant

As a Travel Advisor at Experience Destination, located in Guwahati, you will play a crucial role in curating unique experiences and journeys in North-East India. This full-time position requires some experience in sales and entails responsibilities such as increasing revenues through sales, assisting clients in planning and organizing their travel arrangements, and establishing systems to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Initially based in Guwahati, there will be flexibility for remote work after a minimum of 3 months of office work. Some key responsibilities include: - Engaging with leads to suggest experiences based on guest preferences and collaborating with stakeholders to create tour itineraries with costing. - Conducting follow-ups and making necessary edits to itineraries as required. - Developing relationships with local vendors such as homestay owners, hotel managers, cab drivers, guides, etc. - Implementing systems to automate lead generation and booking processes. - Driving revenue growth for the firm. - Compiling and updating a destination encyclopaedia. Qualifications for this role include: - 1-2 years of experience in the tourism industry, preferably with some sales background. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Canva, and Maps along with strong presentation and communication skills. - Proficiency in English or Hindi, with knowledge of local attractions and destinations in North-East India considered a bonus. - Familiarity with local languages is advantageous. - A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
