Social Media Strategist

As a Social Media Strategist at Experience Destination in Guwahati, your main responsibility will be to develop and implement social media marketing strategies, create engaging content, optimize social media presence, manage public relations, and foster communication with the target audience. You will be conducting research to find relevant stories from Northeast India, maintaining the social media calendar, ideating and executing content, assisting in production, script writing, shooting, managing the editor, captioning, and strategizing the complete content plan and output. Additionally, you will optimize company pages on various platforms, moderate user-generated content, analyze social data, collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, and coordinate actions. Collaborations with various travel stakeholders such as influencers, content creators, travel educators, local storytellers, chefs, and property owners will also be a part of your role to help with content creation and increase digital distribution. It is essential to stay up to date with trends in social media. The ideal candidate for this role should have a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. A proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist is required, along with excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills. Demonstrable experience with social networking and social analytics tools, as well as proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems, are necessary. A knack for photography and videography, comfort with editing tools like VN, Canva, and Reel editor, strong organizational and time management skills, knowledge of North-East India and its tourism industry, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are desired. The ability to analyze social media trends and metrics is also important.
