Job Description

Job Summary:

The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the company's fleet of vehicles. This role ensures that vehicles are maintained in good working condition, comply with all legal and safety standards, and are used efficiently to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet.
Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and route efficiency.
Schedule and dispatch vehicles in coordination with operational needs.

Maintenance & Repairs:

Ensure regular servicing, inspections, and timely repairs of all vehicles.
Maintain records of maintenance history and costs.
Coordinate with external service providers or in-house mechanics.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all vehicles meet legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain documentation related to licensing, insurance, and inspections.
Develop and implement fleet safety programs.

Budget & Cost Management:

Prepare and manage the fleet budget.
Monitor fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and total cost of ownership.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Team Supervision:

Lead and manage a team of drivers and support staff.
Schedule driver shifts and monitor driving behavior and compliance.
Provide training on safety, company policies, and operational procedures.

Fleet Tracking & Reporting:

Use fleet management systems to track vehicle locations and performance.
Generate reports on fleet utilization, downtime, and operational KPIs
