Role Purpose

The Transport Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of a safe, efficient, and reliable transport service for students and staff. In an IB context, this role demands a high level of professionalism, tech-savvy fleet management, and a commitment to international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Logistics

• Route Optimization:

  Design and periodically review bus routes to ensure minimal travel time for students across Gurugram and Delhi/NCR.

• Daily Scheduling:

  Manage daily rosters for a fleet of upto 40+ buses, including GPS tracking and real-time monitoring.

• Event Support:

  Coordinate transport for field trips, inter-school sports competitions, and late-stay activities (extracurriculars).

2. Safety & Compliance

• Regulatory Adherence:

  Ensure 100% compliance with Haryana Governments

  Surakshit School Vahan Policy

  , Supreme Court guidelines, and RTO regulations.

• Maintenance:

  Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, fitness certificates, pollution checks (PUC), and insurance renewals.

• Emergency Response:

  Act as the primary lead for any transport-related emergencies or breakdowns, ensuring immediate student safety and communication.

3. Staff Management

• Supervision:

  Manage, train, and mentor a team of drivers and female bus attendants (nannies).

• Training:

  Conduct regular workshops on defensive driving, first aid, and "soft skills" for interacting with students and parents.

• Vetting:

  Ensure rigorous background checks and police verification for all transport staff.

4. Parent Communication & Technology

• Customer Service:

  Address parent queries and concerns with empathy and professional clarity.

• Tech Integration:

  Manage school transport apps for real-time parent notifications and attendance tracking.
