Gross: 16K (Deductions: PF, ESI, PT from Gross)

Allowance: Night Shift Allowance + Travel Allowance (No pick and drop facility)

Shift: Night Shift (06.00PM - 02.30AM), also flexible with noon shift (02.00PM - 10.00PM)

Note: For first 3 months, candidates will undergo training in day shift (10.00AM - 06.30PM). During this time, no night shift or travel allowance will be paid.

Eligibility: Only Male Candidates

Role

Objective To support the underwriting team by assisting in risk assessment, document verification, and decision-making processes while undergoing structured training to build expertise in life insurance underwriting.

Job Description

The Trainee Underwriter will work under the guidance of senior underwriters and team leaders to evaluate insurance applications, apply underwriting guidelines, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This role offers an excellent entry point into the insurance industry, providing both learning and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities -

Review insurance applications and supporting documents.

- Apply underwriting guidelines to assist in risk assessment.

- Coordinate with senior underwriters for case discussions and escalations.

- Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualification

- Any graduate (Commerce, Finance, Insurance preferred but not mandatory).

- Up to 1 year of relevant experience (CTC will remain same). Required / Preferred Skills

- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.

- Good written and verbal communication abilities.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Detail-oriented with high accuracy.

- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

- Preferred: Basic knowledge of insurance/finance terminology.
