Trade Finance Officer

Job Summary:

The Trade Finance Officer is responsible for handling all trade-related transactions and documentation in compliance with international banking standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves processing import and export transactions, managing Letters of Credit (LC), Bills Collection, Bank Guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Processing & Documentation

• Handle end-to-end trade transactions, including issuance, advising, amendment, and negotiation of

  Letters of Credit (LCs)

• Process

  Import and Export Bills

  ,

  Bills for Collection

  , and

  Bank Guarantees (BGs)

  .
• Ensure all trade documentation complies with

  UCP 600

  ,

  URC 522

  ,

  URR 725

  , and

  ISBP

  guidelines.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to

  RBI

  ,

  FEMA

  , and

  AML/KYC

  norms in trade finance transactions.
• Identify and report any suspicious or non-compliant trade activities.
  
• Coordinate with compliance and risk teams for transaction screening, sanction checks, and internal audits.

Client Service & Coordination

• Provide timely and accurate information to clients regarding trade products, documentation, and process status.
  
• Liaise with relationship managers, treasury, and operations teams for smooth transaction execution.

Key Skills :

• Strong knowledge of

  trade finance products

  : LC, BG, bills collection, remittances, factoring, etc.
• Familiarity with

  UCP, URC, URR, ISBP

  , and

  SWIFT messaging formats (MT7xx series)

  .
• Understanding of

  RBI/FEMA regulations

  and international trade practices.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and verification skills.
  
• Proficiency in

  core banking systems
