Job Description

About the Role:

Trade Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Process and manage trade finance transactions including
Letters of Credit (LCs)
,
Bank Guarantees
,
Bills for Collection
, and
Documentary Credits
.
Examine and verify trade documents in accordance with
UCP 600
,
ISBP
,
URC 522
, and other ICC rules.
Liaise with clients, counterpart banks, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
Ensure adherence to
Know Your Customer (KYC)
,
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
, and
sanctions compliance
guidelines.
Prepare and check SWIFT messages related to trade transactions (MT700, MT707, MT999, etc.).

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or related field (MBA or certification in trade finance preferred).
[2-6 years] of experience in trade finance operations within a bank or financial institution.
Strong knowledge of
import/export procedures
,
foreign exchange regulations
, and
documentary credit operations
.
Familiarity with
SWIFT messaging
,
UCP 600
,
URC 522
,
URDG 758
, and
ISBP
standards.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
