**Role Overview**
The Trade Facilitation Manager will be responsible for promoting Indian electronics, IT, and software exports through buyer curation, partnership development, and facilitation of global trade linkages. The role involves close engagement with international buyers, Indian exporters, government agencies, and global trade bodies. The incumbent will also support ESC’s policy interface, compliance reporting, and government-sponsored initiatives to strengthen India’s export competitiveness.**Key Responsibilities****1. Buyer Curation & Market Development*** Identify, screen, and onboard credible international buyers for Indian exporters.* Maintain and update a structured buyer database across focus markets.* Match buyers with suitable exporters and support deal facilitation. **2. Trade Facilitation & Linkages*** Organize buyer–seller meets (BSMs), reverse buyer–seller meets (RBSMs), delegations, and trade fairs.* Provide handholding support to exporters for connecting with international buyers.* Ensure adherence to trade facilitation protocols and follow-up processes.**3. Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement*** Forge partnerships with international chambers, trade associations, and business councils.* Coordinate with Indian missions abroad and foreign embassies for market development.* Strengthen institutional linkages that promote sustained exports.**4. Government Liaison & Compliance Reporting*** Act as a key interface between ESC and government departments (e.g., Ministry of Commerce & Industry).* Ensure compliance with government guidelines, schemes, and reporting requirements.* Prepare periodic reports, policy briefs, and performance updates for submission to relevant ministries.* Support government-backed initiatives, incentive schemes, and export promotion policies.**5. Policy, Research & Promotion Support*** Conduct market studies and share insights on emerging opportunities and challenges.* Track global trade policies, competitor country strategies, and sectoral trends.* Contribute to policy recommendations, promotional strategies, and knowledge reports.* Represent ESC at national and international trade events, conferences, and exhibitions.**Qualifications & Skills*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Business, Economics, Management, or related discipline.* 5–10 years of experience in trade facilitation, export promotion, or international business development.* Strong understanding of export processes, government trade promotion schemes, and global market dynamics.* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement (exporters, buyers, government, and trade bodies).* Excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.* Strong reporting, documentation, and project management abilities.---**Key Attributes*** Commitment to advancing India’s export promotion agenda.* Ability to balance government protocols with business facilitation.* Strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities.* Professional, diplomatic, and effective in cross-cultural environments.
