Job Description: Senior Lead / Principal Engineer Position: Senior Lead / Principal Engineer Reporting to: Senior Team Lead - Thermal Management Key Purpose of the Job : Develop compressor cooling systems, heat recovery systems, selection of heat exchangers, fans, thermal management through modulation and identification and implement innovations towards performance and quality improvement and cost reduction. Managing resources and processes to meet short term and long-term objectives Educational Qualification / Experience required : BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering , M Tech in Thermal engg/Heat transfer is an added advantage Experience of 7 to 12 years of experience in design and development of cooling system related parts - Creating 3D models using CAD Solidworks and detailing of concepts & development involving GD&T requirements -Creating 2D releases and PLM -Core experience in the design of heat exchangers -Knowledge and experience in selection of cooling fans and their dynamics. -Knowledge and experience in selection of coolants, testing of coolants etc. -Knowledge in Heat Recovery Systems. -Knowledge in supplier network of cooling system related parts. -Knowledge in statuary, standard and certification requirements. As a member of the team, you will support the Commercial function in handling technical topics and take ownership of the technical scope in tenders. In this role, you will also assist the Lead Engineer with calculations and documentation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance of cable systems with internal requirements, international standards, and client specifications. It is essential to maintain alignment between technical proposals and tender strategies and take charge of the assigned technical scope. Additionally, following established Engineering processes and design premises is crucial for success. Success in this role will be measured by the on-time and high-quality delivery of the assigned scope, along with strict adherence to Engineering processes. Your primary tasks will involve analyzing tender requirements, performing cable system design work, assessing qualification needs, and proposing qualification plans. You will also interface with various departments within the organization, present technical proposals to clients, and compile relevant documentation. Key interfaces for this role include Tender Engineering, Commercial and Tender, Sales, Planning, and High Voltage Labs. The ideal candidate for this position should hold an MTech/M.E/BE/BTech degree in electrical or high voltage engineering. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in HV/EHV background or 2-3 years of experience in cable system design. Additionally, 2-3 years of experience in thermal/electrical calculations and compiling tender documentation is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Comsol, Matlab, and preferably AutoCad is required for this role.,

Material Selection & Engineering Compliance: - Guide material selection for high-temperature and high-pressure thermal applications. - Evaluate thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, creep resistance, and mechanical properties. - Ensure all designs adhere to TEMA, ASME, API, CTI (Cooling Technology Institute), and industry standards. 5. Leadership & Innovation: - Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop cutting-edge thermal solutions. - Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and operations teams for process improvement. - Provide technical mentorship and training to junior engineers. - Stay ahead of emerging technologies in heat transfer, renewable energy, and thermal system efficiency.
