Boiler Process Engineer Designation: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Location: Kolkata Key Responsibilities of a Boiler Process Engineer: 1) Thermal design with adequate knowledge of supporting/ layout of boiler components. 2) Designing new boiler systems, optimizing existing ones, and ensuring they meet specific process requirements. 3) Developing and implementing control strategies to maintain optimal boiler performance and safety, including monitoring key parameters like pressure, temperature, and flow rates. 4) Evaluating boiler performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 5) Ensuring that all boiler operations adhere to relevant safety standards and regulations, including those related to pressure vessels and hazardous materials. 6) Providing technical guidance and support to other team members. 7) Finalize heat & mass balance, temperature profiles, and performance parameters. 8) Responsible for the engineering release of process documentation for manufacturing and procurement. 9) Ensure compliance with international and Indian regulatory codes. 10) Provide process-related cost and engineering inputs/ estimates for new boiler proposals. Essential Skills and Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering. Master's Degree preferred in Thermal Engineering, preferably with more than 6 years of experience. Age up to 65 Years, retired persons are also welcome. 2. In-depth understanding of boiler types, components, and operational principles. 3. Mandatory experience with software for process simulation. 4. Experience with process simulation, dynamic analysis, and performance evaluation techniques. 5. Proven Experience in Leading the Complete Process Engineering and P&ID development. 6. Expertise in thermal design, heat and mass balance, circulation check, metal temperature, and stress calculations. 7. Design of headers and boiler internal piping. 8. Understanding of codes like ASME, IBR, and CEA norms. 9. Experience with detailed engineering workflows, data sheets, and inter-discipline coordination. 10. Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations, such as those related to pressure vessels and hazardous materials. 11. Ability to analyse complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. 12. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Boiler Mechanical Engineer Designation: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Location: Kolkata Key Responsibilities of a Boiler and Auxiliary Engineer: 1) Understand customer needs. 2) Prepare specification for bought out components, review the vendors proposal and evaluate offers. Prepare evaluation report and compare among them. 3) Prepare cost estimates & arrive at manpower and time requirement. 4) Prepare technical proposal for customers, discuss & negotiate. 5) Guide and review GA drawings/ P&IDs/ PFDs. 6) Visit site as and when required to discuss with customer / check feasibility for brown field project. 7) Carry out basic calculations. Selection of Pump, Motor, Fan, Blowers, etc. 8) Coordinate between different project teams and contractors, ensuring schedules and quality are met. 9) Ensure compliance with international and Indian regulatory codes. 10) Ensure all systems are installed and maintained to meet regulatory standards and safety protocols. 11) Identify and resolve issues in boiler systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent failures. 12) Assessment of risk involved, before making proposal to customer. 13) Preparation of various reporting documents to top management. 14) Review of project progress and discuss difficulties with project manager.
