Test Engineer - About The Role
Test Engineer
Job Purpose
The company is undergoing the largest digital transformation in its history, creating a platform that offers an omni-channel experience to customers, supported by a large distribution footprint of over 1 million partners. The ambition is to create a benchmark consumer-tech experience in the country. This business unit is at the center of the transformation for the company's web engines. Joining at this time provides an opportunity to be part of a significant transformation journey over the next three years. Duties and Responsibilities

Automate processes for identifying content, interface, functional, and performance issues on digital assets.

Hands-on experience coding with Selenium, Cucumber, and other automation tools.

Understand business requirements and designs, including UX and interface elements; ability to question and recommend solutions.

Create test scenarios, test cases, and automate them, including front-end elements. Map these back to business requirements to ensure 100% test coverage.

Create process automation streams by exploring RPA tools.

Publish weekly/bi-weekly defect reports and dashboards with all stakeholders.

Identify correct testing strategies for automation of specific use cases.

Create quarterly testing plans based on the specific requirements of different digital assets.

Identify performance enhancement opportunities and define automation processes around them.

Strong orientation towards automation and ability to explore, identify, and set up new automation processes.

Complete understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and ability to implement a working model for different websites.

Hands-on experience with customer-facing websites, creating end-to-end regression and smoke tests.

Generate test reports on a regular basis by defining the scope of work with partners.

Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure Boards.

Ability to create test scenarios, test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automate them, including front-end elements, ensuring 100% coverage as mapped to business requirements.

Understanding of security, risk, and compliance management processes in the context of IT solutions delivery.

Ability to think beyond the obvious and find innovative ways to deliver in tight timelines and challenging environments.

Monitor and deliver key KPIs that define delivery and account success.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Professional Experience and Qualification

3 to 5 years of experience in testing, with a major focus on QA of digital assets such as websites, portals, or hybrid mobile applications.

Relevant experience in QA with strong knowledge of testing fundamentals.

Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle and hands-on experience in execution.

ISQTB Certified or other relevant certifications in QA automation or RPA.

Good exposure to API testing using SOAP UI, Swagger, or Postman.

Complete understanding of SDLC and ability to implement a working model for different websites.

Hands-on experience with customer-facing websites and creating end-to-end regression and smoke tests.

Key Traits

Must be able to think beyond the obvious and find innovative ways to deliver in tight timelines and challenging environments.

Provide required support and input to team members, ensuring company standards and procedures are followed throughout the testing process.

Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual with a positive, can-do attitude.
