Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Sales Generation:

    Execute sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets set for the territory. Identify potential sales opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  2. Territory Management:

    Efficiently manage the assigned territory, including route planning, coverage optimization, and regular visitation to key accounts. Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust strategies accordingly.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and key decision-makers. Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
  4. Product Promotion and Visibility:

    Implement marketing and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and product visibility within the territory. Coordinate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and events.
  5. Distribution Management:

    Ensure optimal product distribution within the territory by monitoring stock levels, replenishing inventory, and negotiating shelf space. Work closely with distributors and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  6. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

    Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales performance, market insights, and competitor analysis. Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
  7. Training and Support:

    Provide training and support to retailers and distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and merchandising best practices. Ensure that all stakeholders are equipped with the necessary tools and information to promote sales.
  8. Compliance and Documentation:

    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and other relevant documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Any degree
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in FMCG sales.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Age band below 38 years.
