Senior Executive - Purchase

Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Procurement of Goods & Services Identify and source quality suppliers. Ensure the timely purchase of materials, equipment, and services. 2. Vendor Management Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors. Evaluate vendor performance (quality, delivery, price, etc.). Maintain a database of approved suppliers. 3. Price Negotiation Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings. Ensure competitive pricing without compromising on quality. 4. Inventory Management Support Coordinate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels. Avoid overstocking or understocking of materials. 5. Purchase Order Processing Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs). Follow up on POs to ensure timely delivery. 6. Market Research Stay updated on market trends, prices, and availability of materials. Identify alternative suppliers or materials when necessary. 7. Budget Compliance Work within company budget constraints. Track and report procurement expenses. 8. Documentation and Record-Keeping Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery, and inventory. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures. 9. Coordination with Departments Work closely with other departments (like production, finance, or logistics) to understand material requirements and delivery schedules. 10. Quality Assurance • Ensure procured materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.
