Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Tender and Business Development Specialist to drive our growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing new project opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the infrastructure and engineering consulting landscape, with a sharp eye for opportunities in our key sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

Tender Identification and Tracking:

  • Proactively search, monitor, and track tender opportunities from government bodies (Central/State), PSUs, multilateral agencies (World Bank, ADB), and private clients using various e-portals and industry sources.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of upcoming and live tenders relevant to our core sectors, with a primary focus on Water, Urban Infra, and Energy.
  • Analyze tender documents to understand client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission deadlines.

Opportunity Qualification and Bid/No-Bid Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough pre-qualification assessments of tender opportunities to determine strategic fit, profitability, and win probability.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid/no-bid recommendations to senior management with a clear rationale.

Proposal Development and Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from kick-off meetings to final submission.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, subject matter experts, and management to gather inputs and develop high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals.
  • Write, edit, and proofread non-technical sections (Executive Summary, Company Profile, Methodologies, Management Plans) to ensure clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
  • Ensure all proposals are submitted on time and in strict adherence to the RFP requirements.

Business Development and Client Relationship:

  • Support the development of a robust business development strategy for key sectors.
  • Identify and research potential new clients and partners to expand the company’s market reach.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and pre-bid meetings.

Market Intelligence and Database Management:

  • Maintain an up-to-date database of clients, consultants, competitors, and partners.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and new potential service areas.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical), Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in tender searching, bid management, and business development, specifically within the infrastructure, engineering, or construction consultancy sector.
  • Demonstrable experience with the end-to-end tender process for government and private projects in India.
  • Familiarity with key sectors, especially Water Resources, Urban Planning, Waste Management, and Energy (especially Hydro Power).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and well-structured proposals.
  • Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using tender portals (e.g., CPP, GeM, IREP, various State government portals).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of technical concepts related to Survey, DPR, Design, PMC, and GIS is highly advantageous.
