Job Description

The Tenant Collection Officer is responsible for overseeing the collection of rent payments, managing tenant accounts, and ensuring compliance with lease terms. This role involves proactive communication with tenants, resolving payment issues, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain a smooth rental operation. Key Responsibilities Rent Collection: Monitor and manage tenant accounts to ensure timely payment of rent and other charges. Communication: Engage with tenants through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to discuss overdue payments and negotiate repayment plans. Account Management: Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, payment histories, and account statuses. Dispute Resolution: Address tenant complaints and disputes related to payments or lease terms, aiming for amicable resolutions. Legal Compliance: Prepare and serve legal notices, such as Notices of Seeking Possession and Notices to Quit, in accordance with tenancy laws. Collaboration: Work closely with property management and legal teams to coordinate actions and ensure compliance with housing regulations. Reporting: Generate regular reports on rent arrears, payment trends, and collection activities for management review. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a collections or property management role, preferably within the real estate or housing sector. Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge: Familiarity with tenant rights, housing laws, and debt collection regulations. Desirable Attributes Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. Proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution. Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse tenant backgrounds. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Schedule: Monday to Friday Morning shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Work Location: In person
