Job Description

Bachelor s degree, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
Experience in the software or technology sector preferred.
Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, deferred revenue, and cost capitalisation.
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks preferred) and strong Excel skills.
A hands-on, can-do approach
Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
High integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
Enthusiastic about technology and continuous improvement.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes under UK and US GAAP.
Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and KPIs relevant to SaaS and software operations, including capital expenditure on product development.
Preparation and posting of journals (e.g. payroll, accrued and deferred income, accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
Manage revenue recognition in line with software licensing and subscription models (e.g., IFRS 15).
Understand and support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for each entity.
Understand and support of customer billing, including liaison with the Commercial team over annual renewals.
Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
Liaise with other Group entities to ensure Inter-Company accounts balance.
Monitor cash flow and prepare weekly forecasts to support operational and investment planning.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT reporting to Group.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the division.
Collaborate with product and sales teams to align financial reporting with business performance.
Support with external audit process, to include but not limited to document preparation submission, support on interim and final audit testing, liaising with auditors.
Assist with tax preparation providing documentation as requested by external advisors or Head of Tax.
Continuously improve financial systems and processes, including automation.

You will be involved across day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making across the business.
