About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician – Electrical or Electronics (ITI) with a strong foundation in electrical or electronics systems for UAVs, particularly UAV platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic and electrical subsystems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and readiness of UAV systems for field deployments and operational missions.


Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical wiring, crimping, soldering, and harness assembly for fixed-wing UAVs.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot components such as ESCs, power modules, batteries, servos, and telemetry units.
  • Execute ground testing procedures including continuity checks and system power-up validation.
  • Coordinate with avionics, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layout drawings.
  • Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical subsystems.
  • Support field activities including pre-flight checks, launch, recovery, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, documentation, and workmanship.


Qualifications

  • ITI in Electrical or Electronics (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in UAV or aircraft electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using electrical hand tools (e.g., soldering iron, crimpers, multimeter).
  • Strong understanding of battery systems, servo wiring, power distribution, and ESCs.
  • Familiarity with UART, I2C, and SPI communication protocols.
  • Ability to read and work from wiring schematics and technical documents.
  • Awareness of safety practices in electrical maintenance and UAV operations.
  • Solid troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills, especially during field ops.


Desirable Skills & Interests

  • Experience in UAV integration and flight trials.
  • Familiarity with RC transmitters, telemetry units, and GCS tools like QGroundControl or Mission Planner.
  • Passion for aviation, UAVs, and emerging drone technologies.
  • Willingness to travel and support mission deployments in remote or challenging environments.
