Role Overview:

Technical Staff Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pad ring and package substrate design planning, including bump pattern construction.
  
• Define and optimize pad ring connectivity dynamically.
  
• Generate and manage deliverables (e.g., DEF, Verilog netlist) with cross-functional teams.
  
• Interface with architecture, physical design, product engineering, technology development, and foundry teams.
  
• Support verification, emulation, and lab validation including lab debug and providing logic modifications or workarounds.
  

Team and Talent Development Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering managers on team structure, skill development, and hiring strategy.
  
• Support recruitment efforts including JD creation, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  
• Participate in technical talent acquisition aligned with project and business objectives.
  
• Promote knowledge sharing and integration of new team members to build a high-performance culture.
  
• Work with HR, talent acquisition, and leadership to streamline hiring and scale the design team in line with IP roadmaps.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  
• 12+ years of experience in IC or multicore SoC design.
  
• Hands-on experience with front-end CAD tools for I/O planning.
  
• Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog.
  
• Familiarity with Verilog models and Liberty files.
  
• Experience with FinFET technologies is a plus.
  
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, TCL) are an added advantage.
  
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  
• Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.
