Job Description

As a Technical Specialist, the incumbent will work independently to resolve complex issues in VoIP-related products, including FTTx, Access Gateway, Softswitch, and IMS. Using expertise in VoIP protocols (SIP, H.248, T38, RTP) and testing tools, the incumbent will contribute to the design, development, and troubleshooting of hardware/software systems while providing leadership and training to junior staff. You have: Background in telecommunications, electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field to provide a solid foundation for your work. 6 plus years technical background in VoIP-related product testing, including FTTx, Access Gateway, Softswitch and IMS. Experience with GPON technologies, expanding your knowledge of network infrastructures. Exposure to test automation development and frameworks for improving test efficiency and coverage. Experience with automation development in Python, Shell, frameworks like Robot and Selenium. Experience working with DSP and voice codecs for VoIP systems, improving your troubleshooting and performance testing skills. It would be nice if you also had: Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.248, T38, RTP, etc.) and voice quality/QoS testing. Hands-on experience with testing tools like Spirent and voice testing tools for traffic simulation. Experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams, contributing to knowledge transfer and training. Familiarity with management protocols such as OMCI, TR098/TR104, a good understanding of RJ11 and Z-interface specs. Lead small projects, using your technical expertise to contribute to process improvements and ensure effective problem resolution. Troubleshoot complex VoIP-related issues and deliver high-quality solutions based on your strong knowledge of SIP, H.248, RTP, and other protocols. Transfer your deep technical knowledge to less experienced personnel, offering leadership and training to strengthen the team's capabilities. Develop automation skills with Python, Shell and frameworks like Robot and Selenium to enhance test efficiency. Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve customer trouble tickets quickly and effectively. Gain hands-on experience in testing VoIP-related products, including FTTx, Access Gateway, and Softswitch, in addition to exposure to new technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and contribute to technical documentation and change management processes.
