Job Description


We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the sales team in the Bengaluru office who will be able to inform sales, support engineers, scientists, and academicians on the usefulness of simulation using software.

Primary Responsibilities:-

  • Sales in premier government labs
  • Sales in premier academic institutions.

Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support

  • Use your insight, communication skills, and technical acumen to proactively qualify leads marked as prospective customers.
  • Methodically identify and qualify simulation requirements for prospective customers through meetings and demonstrations.
  • Participate in onsite and web-based customer meetings, workshops, and other marketing/sales events arranged by the team.
  • Articulate business cases for the unique capabilities offered by the company, explain licensing models, and help negotiate terms and conditions with legal and procurement departments wherever necessary.
  • Support working with prospective customers on evaluations of the software, or facilitate such evaluations through working in collaboration with the company's applications engineers.
  • Have the willingness and ability to travel for limited periods of time to meet current and potential customers in order to run sponsored events and activities in India.

Post-Sales Support and Customer Relations Management

  • Promote effective technical support together with the applications engineers on the use of the software for customers applications.
  • Communicate with existing customers on a regular basis to manage their relationship with the company, keeping them informed about new features and technology in the software, as well as events and other useful activities.
  • Find new opportunities to sell existing and new software and technology to existing customers, their colleagues, and other departments within their organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a physical science. Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical will be preferred.
  • Course work based on one or more of the following or its equivalent: Computational analyses, modeling, and simulations through numerical methods, such as the Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA), to be used in applications, such as fluid mechanics or dynamics, transport phenomena, heat and mass transfer, thermal engineering, thermodynamics, structural mechanics or analysis, acoustics, chemical or electrochemical reaction engineering, applied physics or mathematics, or any application that may be mathematically defined by PDE or ODEs.
  • Prior sales experience for a minimum of one year. Sales experience in Engineering Software Solutions (CAD/CAE) is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
