Job Description

I. Position Summary

Responsible for construction, detailed BOQ preparation for civil works/projects & maintenance of

civil related works including operation of WWTP, ETP, drinking water pipelines and landscaping of

the plant. Ensures quality of delivery, timely completion, cost and safety aspects pertaining to his

area.

II. Key Activities

1) Liaisons with KIADB officials for water supply and payments

2) Generates reports on WWTP & ETP as per PCB and EHS guidelines

3) Planning for civil work in the factory:

a) Preparation of scope of work

b) Interpretation of drawings

c) Detailed BOQ Preparation of Civil Projects/Repairs

d) Cost Estimation

e) Vendor Management

f) Contractor Management and Negotiations

g) Stakeholder management

h) Program / Project management

i) Report generation

j) Sign off

4) Drives the operation of ETP and WWTP by positioning and guiding the manpower as per

the OEM standards

5) Should be thorough in AUTOCAD Drawings preparation, reading/interpreting drawings.

Certificate of AUTOCAD training.

6) Routine check of buildings, drains, pipelines, parapets, roads, toilets, rain water harvesting

pit, overhead tanks, sewage lines

a) Leakages

b) Condition of paint

c) Cracks

d) Structural damage

e) Hygiene

7) Civil construction in the factory

8) Process invoices of contractors

9) Preparation of logic note for substantiating for raising the work orders

10) Carry out Civil Projects for CSR Activities across Mysuru

11) Liaison with the Engineering HOD for introduction and development of vendors to ensure:

a) Long term organizational association

b) Multiple vendor base for risk mitigation and cost competitiveness

c) Optimization of inventory management in engineering stores
