The Technical Manager will support academic, research, and consultancy activities in the areas of Structural Engineering, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and computational tools. The role involves teaching support, laboratory assistance, software training, and involvement in design and consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Academic Support

• Support undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Building Information Modelling, structural analysis, design, coding, and simulation.
• Assist faculty and students in using structural analysis and BIM tools for:

Laboratory experiments

Design and project-based learning

Final-year projects

Research and PhD work

Technical & Software Support

• Provide hands-on training sessions and workshops for students and faculty on BIM and structural engineering tools.
• Prepare user manuals, guidelines, and tutorials for software platforms.
• Manage laboratory tools, software resources, and computational systems relevant to BIM and structural engineering.

Research & Consultancy

• Assist in departmental consultancy projects involving structural engineering and BIM applications.
• Contribute to documentation, modelling, and analysis work as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with First Class or equivalent and at least

  4 years of experience

• M.Tech in Structural Engineering with First Class or equivalent and at least

  1 year of experience

Required / Desirable Skills

• Experience with structural engineering and BIM software.
• Ability to teach or support courses involving BIM, analysis, design, coding, and simulation.
• Openness to learning and working with BIM tools ranging from 3D to 6D and other computational tools.
• Prior involvement in structural consultancy projects is desirable.
