Senior UI Developer Role The developer in these roles makes an impact in the organization by designing and developing intuitive user interface components and application screens from Figma wireframes. This role is full hands-on development and requires mentoring other Junior developers. Occasionally this role requires High level designing and developing small POC tasks. Primary Skills The developer has a very good hands on experience in these tools and technologies. Developers are able to quickly start contributing in these areas with zero lead time and learning. Developers have 1-5 years of hands-on experience in these tools/technologies. Javascript React (version 16+) - including react hooks HTML5 CSS3 - including Media Queries Responsive Web Development At Least one of the store management Solution `Redux/RTK` or `Recoil` or `Zustand` or `Jotai` Webpack or Vite build tool React Router React Design Patterns Secondary Skills Developers may or may not have hands-on experience in these tools and technologies, but have a good idea of how it works. Developers will be able to start contributing in these areas with minimal learning and training. The developer has at least beginner level knowledge on these. Module Federation / Micro Frontend NextJS Eslint, Axios, Transack Query(react-query) and other commonly used React Ecosystem libraries and frameworks PostCSS Tailwind Typescript Material UI component Library React Hook Form Mock Service Worker Nice to have Skills The developer has beginner/intermediate/advanced level skills on any of these. However, it is not mandatory to know these tools or technologies for this role. NodeJS with expressJS or Java with Spring or Python with Flask MongoDB Elasticsearch Kafka GCP Cloud or AWS cloud Docker and Kubernetes CSS container queries Angular Job Duties [70-80%] Coding and Development of UI screens and Components [10-20%] Mentoring other developers [10-20%] Design and one time POC development work Typical Work Day Work with Product owners and Architects to ensure the functional and technical requirements clearly defined to commence the development work. Develop software programs for UI screens by understanding the business requirement Review peer developer’s code and provide review comments Seek early feedback from Product owners and UX designers for developed screens and make corrections. Write unit tests(or functional e2e tests) for the developed screens Update and track status in JIRA(or equivalent Project Management tool) Work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Architects to clear the blockers that prevent the delivery of the assigned work. Provide updates in the daily standup calls Engage in technical discussions with the team Deploy the code to the dev/staging environment once the smallest testable unit of functionality is completed - coordinate the deployments with backend engineers. - Work with QA engineers to have the features reviewed and thoroughly tested Typical Work Week/Sprint(2 weeks) Demonstrate the developed feature by end of week or 2 weeks to the stakeholders Understand the upcoming product tasks/features and prepare the architectural runway if necessary Scope and Estimate the development effort required for the development tasks Qualifications BE Range of Year Experience-Min Year 5 Range of Year Experience-Max Year 7
