Job Description

An Epic Bridges Analyst is responsible for managing the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of interfaces within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This involves ensuring seamless data exchange between Epic and other healthcare systems using standards like HL7 and APIs. The role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of healthcare workflows, and Epic Bridges certification.
Key Responsibilities:

Interface Design and Development:

Designing, building, and configuring interfaces using Epic Bridges to connect Epic with other systems like labs, pharmacies, and other healthcare applications.

Testing and Validation:

Conducting thorough testing of interfaces to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Diagnosing and resolving interface-related issues, including error resolution and root cause analysis.

Documentation:

Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of interface specifications, configurations, and workflows.

Collaboration:

Working closely with various stakeholders, including application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party vendors, to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementations.

Change Management:

Following established change management processes for all interface-related activities, including upgrades, modifications, and maintenance.

Ongoing Support:

Providing ongoing support for live interfaces, monitoring performance, and proactively addressing potential issues.
Required Skills and Experience:

Epic Bridges Certification:

HL7 and other Interoperability Standards:

Familiarity with HL7 messaging standards and other relevant protocols for data exchange.

Healthcare Workflow Knowledge:

Technical Skills:
