Technical Head

Responsibilities of the Technical Head: 1. Human Management - Lead & mentor the team of Pattern Makers, Quality controllers and Technicians who manage the Sampling operations. 2. Creating the right Process flow & SOPs for the Sampling division. 3. Technical Guidance - Provide technical expertise and guidance to the sampling team, including pattern makers, cutters, sewers, and quality control personnel, to resolve technical issues. 4. New Product Development - Collaborate with design and development teams to translate design concepts into feasible garment prototypes, providing guidance to them on the construction techniques. 5. Quality Assurance - Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure that finished garments meet quality standards, including fit, construction and aesthetic appeal. Thus reducing the cost of rework / remake in the sampling division. 6. Knowledge transfer to the bulk production teams - Facilitate knowledge transfer to bulk production teams by establishing effective handover procedures from the sampling phase to bulk production teams including detailed risk-analysis protocols. 7. Process Improvement - Continuously analyze production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, such as streamlining operations, reducing waste, and optimizing resource utilization, and implement corrective measures as needed with the help of the Industrial Engineer. Desired Candidate Profile 16-25 years of experience in garment technology or related field (apparel industry). Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes from yarn spinning to final product assembly. Proficiency in various textile techniques such as weaving, dyeing, printing etc. . Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
