Overview TruMerit is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that supports the implementation of our new software platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write user-friendly guides, help center articles, how-to walkthroughs, and onboarding materials for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer support teams to identify documentation needs based on user feedback and support tickets.
• Create visuals and screen recordings (e.g., Loom, draw.io, Snagit) to enhance written instructions.
• Structure content for web-based help centers or knowledge bases (e.g., using Confluence).
• Ensure documentation is discoverable, searchable, and aligned with product UI/UX.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience writing end-user documentation or help content for software platforms.
• Strong understanding of needs for non-technical users and a focus on making complex concepts easy to understand.
• Experience designing content layout, information architecture, and navigation structures for online help systems.
• Familiarity with feedback-driven documentation processes (e.g., support ticket analysis or usability testing).
• Working knowledge of content strategy or UX writing principles.
• Use of structured templates in Confluence or task-based documentation models (such as “How do I…”)
