Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead backend architecture and development using Node.js and microservices-based design.
Design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and real-time data processing pipelines.
Spearhead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and make strategic decisions on scalability and system design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, DevOps, frontend developers, and QA.
Optimize MySQL databases and implement ecient querying using Sequelize ORM.
Implement advanced search functionality with Elasticsearch.
Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and work closely with DevOps for cloud infrastructure optimization (AWS preferred).
Enforce best practices for code quality, performance, security, and testing.
Mentor and guide a team of backend engineers, promoting a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills And Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
Proven experience in designing and scaling backend systems in the E-commerce domain.
Solid understanding of Express.js, Sequelize ORM, and MySQL.
Experience working with Elasticsearch for search indexing and querying.
Proficient in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and RESTful API development.
Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker.
Strong debugging skills and experience troubleshooting performance and scalability issues.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities – capable of mentoring junior developers and leading project initiatives.
