Team Leader – Banking Process (Backend Operations)

The Team Leader – Banking Process is responsible for managing a team of backend executives handling core banking operations. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, adherence to SLAs, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement while acting as a key link between management and the operations team.

Key Responsibilities Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend banking executives.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure workload balance.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Motivate the team to achieve operational and quality targets.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee backend banking processes such as account maintenance, transactions processing, KYC, AML checks, loan documentation, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all banking operations.
• Monitor adherence to SLAs, TATs, and quality benchmarks.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal banking policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct quality checks and audits of team output.
• Handle escalations, error analysis, and corrective action plans.
• Support internal and external audits.

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
• Track KPIs, productivity, quality scores, and error rates.
• Share performance insights and improvement plans with management.

Required Skills & Competencies Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of banking operations and backend processes.
• Good understanding of KYC, AML, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.
• Experience with core banking systems and workflow tools.
