About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Team Lead – Urban Planner to manage and mentor a team of fresher urban planners and survey associates. The role combines technical planning expertise, project management and client-facing responsibilities. The Team Lead will ensure timely delivery of technical reports, survey outputs, and client presentations, while acting as a bridge between the team and the Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management
  • Lead, train, and guide a team of freshers in day-to-day project tasks.
  • Allocate workload, track task progress, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Provide regular mentoring and knowledge-sharing to develop the team’s technical and professional skills.
  • Project Delivery
  • Supervise preparation of technical reports, planning documents, survey datasets, and consultant presentations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of outputs to the Director and clients.
  • Support in quality control, formatting, and standardization of deliverables.
  • Client & Field Engagement
  • Act as the on-ground lead during client site visits, surveys, and data collection exercises.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the team.
  • Represent the organization in client presentations and technical discussions.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Provide daily/weekly updates to the Director on team workload, project status, and challenges.
  • Flag risks, delays, or capacity issues early and suggest solutions.
  • Liaise across departments (GIS, remote sensing, survey, planning) to ensure smooth integration of inputs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, or related field from a reputed institute.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in urban/transport/environmental planning, consulting, or survey-based assignments.
  • Proven experience in leading small teams and managing workloads.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD/remote sensing tools is an advantage.
  • Strong report writing, data interpretation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for field surveys, client meetings, and project execution.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
