Job Description

Job Summary:

Team Lead / Senior Credit Underwriter

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the credit and risk team, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
Analyze credit and risk data to derive meaningful insights; prepare presentations for stakeholders and management.
Approach credit and risk assessment from a business-integrated perspective, beyond traditional underwriting practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and other departments to support end-to-end process alignment.
Handle team escalations, internal conflicts, and coordinate with field sales personnel to resolve issues effectively.
Review and understand credit policies and processes; ensure policy adherence while being flexible to business needs.
Take independent calls on business requirements, balancing risk and growth objectives. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and proposing practical solutions.
Draft professional emails, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), policy proposals, and other formal communication

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
Prior experience in NBFCs, Banks, or Fintech companies in unsecured (CL, PL) total 5 Years Minimum.
Familiarity with risk mitigation practices and business lending environments.
