Credit Underwriter (Unsecured Loans)

Job Summary:

• Evaluate unsecured loan applications within defined TATs and risk parameters.
• Analyze applicant profiles using financial statements, bank statements, credit bureau reports (e.g., CIBIL, Experian), and alternate data sources.
• Approve or recommend decisions within delegated authority; escalate cases requiring higher approval levels.
• Monitor post-disbursal performance and provide inputs for early warning systems by bounce audits.
• Collaborate with sales, collections, fraud control, and operations to ensure seamless credit processing.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior underwriters or credit analysts.
• Highlight if any fraud parameter or business wise any fraud angle is seen.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or MBA in finance.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in unsecured loan underwriting.
• Experience with credit decision engines, LOS (Loan Origination Systems), Novel pattern or any other API tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (RBI, NBFC, fintech norms).
