EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Data Engineer (Snowflake) - Senior Consultant

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Snowflake environments across major cloud platforms.
• Develop and execute ETL processes, ensuring efficient and secure data flow into cloud-based services.
• Collaborate with global teams to understand business objectives and deliver scalable solutions.
• Optimize data models, queries, and algorithms for performance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
  

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Snowflake Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake components (Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Secure Views).
• Data Engineering: Proven experience in building data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical solutions.
• Cloud Proficiency: Strong knowledge of data migration and processing using cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python or PySpark for automation and data manipulation.
• Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and Snowflake-specific optimizations.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with deployment automation and version control practices.
• SQL Mastery: Advanced SQL skills, including procedural SQL and query optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions.
  

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Primary Skills: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake on any major cloud platform.
• Secondary Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one ETL tool.
• Preferred Domain Experience: Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing.
• Certifications: Snowflake Data Engineer certification preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
