Tax Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the company’s tax compliance, including federal, state, and local income taxes, sales/use tax, property tax, and payroll tax filings.
• Review and prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and payments.
• Research and interpret tax laws to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize liabilities and support business growth.
• Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and legal teams to support financial reporting and strategic planning.
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• CA Inter/ CMA Inter certification strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and/or corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Experience managing tax compliance and audits.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with tax software and ERP/accounting systems.
• In depth knowledge in GST, TDS ,Income Tax filling work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
