System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that IT infrastructure runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a strong knowledge of system administration best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux environments).

Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Perform regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Maintain system backups and disaster recovery protocols.

Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.

Monitor and manage IT asset inventory.

Document internal procedures, configurations, and system changes.

Collaborate with other IT staff and departments on technology projects.

Provide technical support and guidance to staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Required: 1+ Year of experience in System Admin. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols. Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), backups, and disaster recovery. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Strong understanding of IT security principles. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Work Environment:

Standard office hours, with occasional after-hours support or weekend work during system upgrades or outages. On-call availability as required. Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs), as needed.
