Role Overview: At Motorola Solutions, you will be part of a global community dedicated to enhancing public safety through critical communications, video security, and command center technologies. As a Backup Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and reliability of backup services & technologies across global geographies, supporting our internal clients and applications. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee all backup and recovery operations, identifying and addressing risks while optimizing opportunities. - Act as the subject matter expert for global backup and recovery environments. - Lead a team of backup administrators, guiding them on assignments and projects to achieve desired outcomes. - Provide expert support and analysis for complex problems, including 3rd level support and guidance. - Define and adhere to operating standards and procedures, identifying opportunities for infrastructure and process improvements. - Deliver technology evaluations, capacity planning analysis, and monthly reporting. - Be adaptable to various IT infrastructure tasks within defined infrastructure teams. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in a high technical level position. - 2+ years of experience leading a global team of backup administrators. - In-depth understanding of commercial backup offerings from major vendors. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Experience in creating processes and procedural documentation. - Exceptional problem-solving skills. - Flexibility in working hours within a global organization. - Experience in Multi-cloud environment backups.
