System Administrator (VPS & Cloud Hosting)

About Us:

Edu Creative Digication is an EdTech and IT services company providing digital learning solutions, web hosting, and software development to institutions and businesses. We are looking for an experienced System Administrator (VPS & Cloud Hosting) to manage our server infrastructure, ensure uptime, optimize performance, and maintain a secure, scalable environment for our growing network of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure, deploy, and manage VPS servers (Linux-based: Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
Handle cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance (AWS, Contabo, DigitalOcean, Google Cloud, etc.).
Install, configure, and optimize Apache / Nginx web servers, PHP, and MySQL databases.
Set up and manage firewalls, SSL certificates, DNS, domains, and reverse proxies.
Implement server monitoring, alerts, and performance optimization tools.
Maintain data backup, restoration, and migration processes.
Troubleshoot server, hosting, and network issues proactively.
Ensure server security and patch management (SSH hardening, malware scanning, fail2ban, etc.).
Collaborate with developers to deploy applications (React, Node.js, PHP, etc.) efficiently.
Document configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience managing VPS or cloud servers (2–4 years preferred).
Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) environments.
Hands-on experience with Nginx / Apache, PHP, Node.js, and MySQL.
Experience in DNS management, SSL setup, and domain linking.
Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, SMTP, etc.).
Knowledge of firewall configuration (UFW / iptables) and security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Education & Qualifications:

Diploma / BCA / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Relevant certifications (Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, RHCSA, etc.) are a plus.

Job Details:

Work Mode: On-site (Dum Dum) / Remote / Hybrid
Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience & skillset)
Working Hours: Flexible / Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate

Job Type: Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
