Support - Quality Control - Pipe Plant - Jhagadia - Steel

1. Raw Material Quality Inspection

• Inspect and verify incoming raw materials such as resins, additives, steel billets, coatings, etc.

• Conduct basic laboratory tests (MFI, density, moisture content, chemical composition depending on pipe type).

• Document supplier quality performance.

2. In-Process Quality Control

• Perform in-line checks on pipe dimensions, thickness, ovality, and surface finish.

• Monitor machine parameters and ensure adherence to SOPs.

• Assist in conducting hydrostatic pressure tests, burst tests, impact tests, tensile tests, and other QC tests.

• Identify non-conformities and report deviations to QC engineers.

3. Finished Goods Inspection

• Conduct final inspection of pipes before dispatch.

• Verify compliance with IS/ISO/ASTM standards.

• Prepare inspection reports and quality certificates.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain test records, calibration logs, and inspection reports.

• Assist in preparing QMS documentation (ISO 9001, etc.).

• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

5. Quality System Support

• Participate in internal audits and help implement quality improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

• Support process control and standardization on the shop floor.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all safety protocols within plant premises.

• Ensure compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards.
