Job Description

Designation:- Associate Consultant/Consultant - Support Engineer

Location:- Gurugram


This role will be focused on the support of desktop systems for configuration, deployment, and support. This position will include 90% hands-on support work with Windows Desktop Systems. There will be some Windows Server and Active Directory support and troubleshooting, but it is primarily a desktop role.



Responsibilities

  • Providing technical end-user and desktop support within local area network environment.
  • Diagnosing problems related to PC hardware, software, multi-function devices, and all related local area network systems.
  • Providing support to the networking team in maintaining the availability of centralized, decentralized, and remote network services including but not limited to file service, local and remote printing, local electronic mail, Internet electronic mail, Microsoft Office desktop applications, remote access, and Internet/Intranet web connectivity.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory service.
  • Supporting end-user's access to network resources and add/modify/delete user accounts for file/print and remote services.
  • Installing software updates and patches to desktop operating systems, server-based applications, and centralized services.
  • Creating and maintaining up-to-date IT assets inventory reports.
  • Basic Network configurations, switch Firewall, Endpoint Management.
  • Knowledge of Network Equipment’s/Devices.
  • Experience in troubleshooting MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
  • Desktop support knowledge including hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues.
  • Logging all calls on the call logging system.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff and helping them resolve any hardware or software problems.
  • Maintaining a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
  • Supporting users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
  • Administering Hardware maintenance for all desktop IT equipment.
  • Assisting in maintaining the operating system and security software utilized on the network, including the addition of new users to the network and establishment of rights and privileges.
  • Allocating more complex support issues to the IT Manager.
  • Travel: 10%
